Description

Our client, a major public sector organisation is looking for a PMO on a contract basis, based in London.

The role will actively engage with their respective programme/project teams and boards on an ongoing basis to collect, collate and analyse the information required by their Programme and Senior Project Managers to effectively manage their Digital Transformation programme/projects including work stream reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the required level of PMO governance and control is applied to the project/programmes you are assigned to in alignment with the PM frameworkProvide project-specific reporting and insight to the project team

  • Be proactive in the ongoing development and improvement of the PMO service, system, processes, tools and templates provided to all programmes and projects.

  • Work closely with the project teams to understand and report on tasks, progress, decisions, risks and opportunities

  • Ensure that issues and risks are identified, logged and managed in line with the standard processes and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders where necessary

  • Custodian of all project information ensuring document & version control - utilise MS SharePoint.

  • Tracking and management of project close down and PIRs

  • Resource tracking across the portfolio

  • Organise and facilitate key meetings and workshops

  • Support and organise meeting and travel arrangements for project team

  • Produce communications for all stakeholders

Skills/Experience required:

  • Educated to a degree level

  • Project Management knowledge and proven experience of working in a project or programme environment. Must have the ability to collect and collate the PMO data and advise Project and Programme Managers of areas that need their attention such as interdependencies.
  • Project/Programme Management Certification (for example PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, MSP)

  • Proven PMO/Programme Analyst experience thorough understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from a support perspective.

  • Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful programme outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing presentations for senior management

  • Experienced in managing a time reporting system, managing time entries for project teams, establishing correct project/task codes, ensuring appropriate project set-up for reporting.

  • Proven experience of report writing in a programme/project office environment

The reward:

  • This is a contract role initially for 3 months
  • Daily rate up to £270
  • Based in London
