Description
Our client, a major public sector organisation is looking for a PMO on a contract basis, based in London.
The role will actively engage with their respective programme/project teams and boards on an ongoing basis to collect, collate and analyse the information required by their Programme and Senior Project Managers to effectively manage their Digital Transformation programme/projects including work stream reporting.
Responsibilities:

Ensure the required level of PMO governance and control is applied to the project/programmes you are assigned to in alignment with the PM frameworkProvide project-specific reporting and insight to the project team

Be proactive in the ongoing development and improvement of the PMO service, system, processes, tools and templates provided to all programmes and projects.

Work closely with the project teams to understand and report on tasks, progress, decisions, risks and opportunities

Ensure that issues and risks are identified, logged and managed in line with the standard processes and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders where necessary

Custodian of all project information ensuring document & version control - utilise MS SharePoint.

Tracking and management of project close down and PIRs

Resource tracking across the portfolio

Organise and facilitate key meetings and workshops

Support and organise meeting and travel arrangements for project team

Produce communications for all stakeholders
Skills/Experience required:
- Educated to a degree level
- Project Management knowledge and proven experience of working in a project or programme environment. Must have the ability to collect and collate the PMO data and advise Project and Programme Managers of areas that need their attention such as interdependencies.

Project/Programme Management Certification (for example PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, MSP)

Proven PMO/Programme Analyst experience thorough understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from a support perspective.

Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful programme outcomes

Demonstrated experience in preparing presentations for senior management

Experienced in managing a time reporting system, managing time entries for project teams, establishing correct project/task codes, ensuring appropriate project set-up for reporting.

Proven experience of report writing in a programme/project office environment
The reward:
- This is a contract role initially for 3 months
- Daily rate up to £270
- Based in London
