Firmware Engineer (FPGA)
One of our key clients, a global engineering company, are looking for a firmware engineer to join the team on the design and development of their FPGAs.
This will be a 9 month contract, with the opportunity for extension beyond this period.
Day-to-day role:
To assist the head of hardware in the design and development of new navigation/radar products, support existing designs, and investigate and resolve issues.
The ideal Firmware Engineer will have experience with:
- FPGA Development (ideally Xilinx/Altera)
- VHDL
- Microcontroller software development (C)
- Scripting in TCL for Modelsim
- Ensure products are Type Approved
- Circuit design
- Analogue and digital electronic design
- Test solutions for boards
- Schematic entry
Desirable experience:
- EMC testing
- Radar/navigation equipment
- Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, and Cadstar
- IEC standards
