For one of our prestigious clients we are currently resourcing for an experienced Data Scientist.
Our client wants to bring the conversational analytics back in house, They are currently in the planning stages of implementing a strategy to make the analytics community more user friendly.
This is a long term opportunity to join large enterprise and to be challenged on a daily basis.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following profile:
- Comprehensive understanding of statistical and machine learning techniques for classification, regression, hierarchical modelling, dimensionality reduction, clustering and outlier detection
- Knowledge of quantitative research design, data analytics and methodology in business and social science contexts
- Up to date on the best way to visualize data in a clear and insightful manner
- Holistic understanding of international business, including financial implications
- Driven by need for greater understanding and awareness and helping other gain the same insight
- Gets energy from working in a challenging environment
- Innovative & Open-minded
- Proactive & Can-do mentality
- Ability to explain the data collection techniques to non-technical end-users
- Ability to connect the dots in a data rich environment - analyse/visualize/make tangible & actionable for relevant stakeholders
- Proficiency with analytical software (eg R, Python, Julia, C++ and Stan)
- Thorough understanding of conventional databases, (SQL) as well as advanced data tools (eg Hadoop, Spark) and graph databases
- Advanced data visualization capability (eg plotly, ggplot2, d3.js, etc)
- Ability to run tests, profile code and determine computational bottlenecks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to form strong interdependent working relationships
- Fluent in English (writing and speaking)
