Apigee Edge Developer Contract Dublin.
My client is looking for an Apigee Developer for a short term contract with my client technology centre of excellence in Dublin. The successful candidate will join the Software Engineering team of the centre to work on the implementation of an Apigee platform being utilised as a foundation for a commerce related product.
As a member of the team, you will apply your expertise in implementing modern API platforms including the creation and modification of custom components/modules that would integrated with service layers and portal Front End. You will demonstrate quick understanding of existing Apigee platform implementation and design, understand the constraints and capabilities of the Apigee platform to deliver those designs, along with your ability to identify and translate business needs and map them to solid Apigee platform implementation. You will work alongside existing software engineers and design teams to help the team fulfil the Apigee platform requirements.
Candidates will have development experience on APIgee Edge platform creating and managing API proxies. You will have a deep understanding and experience of API design and an Understanding of core capabilities of Apigee such as login authentication, integration with Micro-services (developed in NodeJS platform), any custom service layer integration etc. You will analyse current architecture and designs to implement into Apigee platform. You will evaluate complex project requests in terms feasibility, complexity and technical direction, you will make informed decisions on technological choices, according to their technology strategy and key technology trends in the tech industry. You will identify and consider reusability and supportability of existing community components and modules. Successful candidates will have experience with Server Side JavaScript development (NodeJS) You will also have experience with agile development (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.) and within an agile project team. Candidates will have experience with Developer oriented CMS portals and be able to provide advice on technical implications of design in a rapid development/agile environment.
