Our client in France is looking for a French speaking Helpdesk Support consultant.
Job description:
Services provided by this Technician will include:
- Provide a high level of customer service while supporting end users in a fast-paced environment. Support includes, but is not limited to, laptops, desktops, PDAs, phone and voice mail systems
- Assist in preparing and deploying PCs for staff, including configuration and imaging of PCs
- Maintaining and troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, printers, PDAs, telephones, etc.
- Support a variety of operating systems, software, email and Internet protocols
- Hardware and software asset tracking and inventory management
- Provide on-site technical support at special events, eg, executive speeches, press conferences, etc.
- Communicate frequently with end users as well as with local, regional, and global support teams
- Maintain configurations of all notebook and desktop computer systems according to established standards
- Document and update technology related instructions and procedures as required
- Oversee and troubleshoot video conference and telecommunications systems in coordination with regional technical resources
- Maintain problem call history by recording calls in CA help desk tracking database; analyze call data to proactively identify improvement opportunities
- Participate in local, regional, and global projects as appropriate to evaluate existing systems and recommend technology for upgrade and replacement; evaluate new technologies for potential applicability
Required Technical competences:
- Technical skills: Works with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, OS), is familiar with Internet, works in accordance with procedures for fault management and ticketing systems.
- Microsoft office issues ( error messages, formatting, improving performance, various settings )
- Windows troubleshooting ( error messages, improving performance, tweaking system, changing appearance and settings )
- Specific corporate software ( installation, error messages, tweaking )
- Networking ( basic user-level support, checking of settings, tweaking PC settings for the network, checking Internet connectivity )
- Server monitoring ( basic server monitoring, interpreting error messages, reporting )
