Description
Systems Design Engineer required to undertake a full range of systems design activities in line with all relevant process, quality and other requirements, supplying specialist advice and support across projects and to other functions as appropriate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below tasks:
Plan, control and deliver assigned projects or work packages.
Contribute as required across functional/project investigations; ensuring delivery to plan.
Prepare a full range of specifications, develop designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carry out design assessments in assigned area.
Evaluate technical issues in order to develop proposals for investigations and/or solutions.
Assessment of compliancy of design(s) and production of certification and supporting documentation.
Ensure that all work outputs are peer reviewed before entering signature loop and contribute to others peer reviews.
Provide effective support to stakeholders/customers in assigned areas, delivering solutions to meet their needs and requirements.
Support the identification of business opportunities and the preparation of bids in area(s) of expertise to facilitate the development of the highest quality bids
Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority.
Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development.
Embed and refine effective System Design working practices
Ability to cope with uncertainty and create order/structure for own domain.
Ability to manage several stakeholders and make judgements/recommendations on appropriate actions.
