Pick Developer - £300/day - Leeds - BANKINGMy client, a leading global, tier-1 bank is looking for a contractor to join their team in Leeds for a long term contract.
Role: Pick (Databasic / MV) Developer
Rate: £300/day
Location: Leeds
Duration: 6 months rolling - contract is expected to last 3-5 years!!!
Skills
* A good working knowledge of the project lifecycle (SDLC and Agile)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex IT issues to non-technical people in the business
* Technical expertise appropriate to their role, specifically:
* Detailed knowledge of the 'PICK' MV operating system
* Detailed knowledge of the 'PICK Databasic' programming language
* Detailed knowledge of the 'PICK' enquiry language
* Knowledge of the jBASE application
* Knowledge of C/C++ programming language
* Knowledge of Unix (AIX and Linux if possible)
* Knowledge of DB2 SQL commands and embedded SQL
* Good commercial orientation, appreciating the business usage of systems
* Find logical solutions to problems and manage to resolution
* Ability to prioritise work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical environment against competing demands.
