Description
Leading Investment Bank seeks expert technologist with exceptional Agile Python development skills, with an MSc in Computer Science to develop and design their next generation greenfield Equity Derivatives trading platform.
Candidates will be developing the new Front Office software for the Global Equities Derivatives Business, working on all development, design and architecture aspects. Candidates will be building out the system using the latest Python stack and should have at least five years commercial experience of working in the Front Office for a leading Investment Bank.
Candidates must have strong Agile, TDD and BDD practices and be able to face off to the trade floor. Good Unit Testing as well as knowledge of derivatives is advantageous, however not essential.
The idea candidate will have:
- Strong Python Development skills
- Strong Background in at least one modern OO language, preferably Java
- Experienced in using design patterns and following best software engineering practices
- An understanding of fundamental algorithms and ability to optimize existing code
- Understand modern architectures and modelling practices and be able to actively participate in them to help shape the platform and clearly articulate technical designs and concepts in both verbal and written forms
- Have a passion for developing best in class technology solutions
