One of our blue chip clients is urgently looking for BI Data Analyst with IBM Banking Data Warehouse Model (BDW).
Job role:
Main objective for the Information Analyst is to design the data model of the Data Integration Layer that will transform and filter the data between the Pay
ments Stack (operations) and Finance (Financial reporting).
Starting from a basic logical entities work towards the relational data model (model classes, map classes to relational tables, add unique identifiers, map at
tributes to columns, map associations to foreign keys).
Base analysis on the requirements available from Finance (inventory file and financial events) and perform upstream' data analysis, ie determine the source
application Building Blocks in the Payments Stack (Payments Engine, Account Management System, Billing Engine, Party & Agreement Application).
The output of the analyst (data model and design) will be used by the ETL development team on the DIL.
Profile:
Functional expertise
o Good knowledge of the business and banking processes
o Good understanding of the link between Operations and Financial reporting
o Banking General Ledger concepts
Knowledge of the uniform data model based on IFW BDW industry standard (IBM) is a definite plus
Technical expertise
o Datamodelling
o UML modelling language and class diagrams
o (nice-to-have) ETL processing (event based processing, streaming of data, data lake, )
o Meta data management and architecture
Technology expertise
o Knowledge of IBM Infosphere Information Integration Suite is a nice to have
o Knowledge of Datamodelling tools will be added advantage
Skills:
Has a great level of autonomy in the execution of tasks and preparation of advice, and independently makes decisions on the implementation.
Uses a network of IT and business staff and (senior) management to accomplish objectives
Ability to document decisions and explain these to non-IT colleagues.
