Abinitio ETL Developer - 6 Month Contract
Job Description:
Work in a team of experienced Abinitio developers delivering high quality Data Integration & Extract Transform Load [ETL] solutions to a wide range of business users. This includes work on all phases of the software development life cycle including analysing customer requirements, developing functional and technical specifications, designing, building testing and implementing Abinitio projects. There is a rigorous focus on quality, a requirement for agility and a necessity to work effectively in a high performing team.
Responsibilities
* Investigating requirements, producing specifications, designing, developing and implementing Abinitio ETL solutions to development and quality standards
* Developing, executing and documenting Unit and Integration tests to ensure ETL code is delivered to specification.
* Supporting execution of System Testing and User Acceptance Testing including when necessary preparation of required environments.
* Achieving highly efficient performance in all solutions.
Skills
* 6+ years Experience in Abinitio 3.0
* Experience in Teradata SQL & Oracle
* Solid understanding of Unix and Shell Scripting (Solaris platform)
* Knowledge of Hyperion, Essbase, SAP & IBM OS/390 beneficial
* Must be fully competent in interpreting requirements and designing, unit testing and developing robust ETL solutions
* Strong knowledge and use of ETL/DW development methodologies, standards and procedures
* Resourceful, self starter, little supervision needed
* Strong team player, excellent communication and business engagement skills
* Ability to multi-task on concurrent projects
* Must have comprehensive expertise in a software development life cycle
