Will primarily be responsible for all aspects of accounting for inventories, manufacturing. and other activities related to the global supply of devices and spare parts.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Responsible for directing, reviewing, and analysing inventory and manufacturing transactions to ensure integrity of financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including monitoring of inventory control procedures and calculation of reserves.
  • Responsible for creating management reports related to inventory and work in process.
  • Analyze and resolve JDE ERP system issues related to reporting of inventory and manufacturing accounting transactions.
  • Involvement in the month end financial close process including preparing original entries for accruals & allocations, coordinating the inventory close with other departments and significant account review and analysis.
  • Responsible for communicating and monitoring compliance with corporate inventory and manufacturing policies.
  • Develop strong knowledge of business processes and JDE ERP system where they relate to accounting for device assets, work in process, inventories, and manufacturing.
  • Responsible for accumulation of device costs including transportation and labor allocations for leased devices, sold devices, and prototype devices.
  • Responsible for movement of device costs to fixed assets or costs of sales. Builds cost sheets used by logistics and invoicing groups for customs and commercial invoicing purposes.
  • Review and analyze device costs, Maintain device deployment/cost records.
  • Balance Sheet Responsibility for Inventory and Work in Process including related suspense and reserve accounts.
SKILLS:

REQUIRED JOB RELATED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four year degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience accounting for inventories and manufacturing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently with accuracy and integrity
PREFERRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ Years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with manufacturing and supply chain modules of SAP.
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards or other integrated ERP system.
  • Experience with ERP implementation for supply chain functions.
  • Experience with internal controls documentation and/or auditing.
  • Ability to coordinate teams of cross-functional responsibility toward defining and meeting goals.
