Description
My client, a well respected Airline, currently has an immediate need for an experienced Tax Accountant to join them on a contract basis, initially around 8 months, to help with an increased work load. Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant or a CTA Candidate with good PC/Finance system skills and high numeracy (Alphatax/Excel)
- Essentially the purpose of the job is to support the tax teams work on tax compliance and reporting.
- Ensuring that the company and subsidiary tax provisions are accurately quantified and consolidated for inclusion in the group and individual company financial accountants and that correct disclosures are made.
- Prepare tax returns and submit on-line with associated accounts.
- Carry out research to answer any queries from HMRC on these returns and prepare an initial response to these queries if required.
- Review tax returns that are prepared by other finance staff and line management
- Undertake research tasks on specific tax projects including the tax implication arising from revenue transaction, asset disposals and acquisitions and company reorganisations and disposals
