Description
Will be responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, testing and debugging of analytical, statistical/mathematical programming, optimization and decision support systems. Additionally, will work with a large amount of data from diverse, complex and frequently unrelated sources and be able to perform data analyses/mining, data cleansing, data integration and occasional mathematical/data modelling with little or no guidance. Work with operations, product and engineering teams to understand the product/services and to better formulate the requirements. Will be working with analyst, developers and modelers for assembling large amounts of data for survey/selected customers.SKILLS:
Required:
- Requirements gathering and analysis; Architect solution and implement with Agile methodology
- Data acquisition, data ETL, data cleansing, data mining, data integration and some statistical analyses and programming.
- Implement data modelling, statistical/mathematical, linear/optimization programming model
- Oracle databases/tables design, database development, data structure indexing, database partitioning, database performance monitoring and tuning complex queries.
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
- Setup and administer document/file transfer/depository systems such as FTP, SSH, SharePoint drive or other similar technologies.
- Writes code and completes programming and documentation using programming language and technology in Unix/Linus and/or web environment. Performs testing and debugging of applications.
- Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.

- At least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases, Unix, Perl, AWK, web and Client Server concepts, and be able to rely on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Also must have experience with handling large data systems.
- Experience with R and SAS is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge and experience with data processing within a Hadoop infrastructure including Java MapReduce, Hive, and Pig is a plus
