Big Data Java Developer - Hadoop, HBase, NoSQL - Finance
Top-class Big Data Java Developer required for my leading financial client in the City.
The Java Developer will be working as part of a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team within the organisation's Core Technology Department rolling out a flagship project within the business. The Java Developer will be using big data techniques to load and import large amount of data and to scale it out
The Java Developer will be tasked with building a robust set of services and components capable of analysing terabytes of data from a number of different business areas. The Java Developer will be producing a scalable, efficient and reusable technology solution that enables the business units to grow revenues, reduce costs and better serve their customers.
The successful Java Developer will have demonstrable experience of working on high-profile big data projects for similar scale organisations in Agile environments. Finance experience is extremely desirable but by no means essential since this is a highly tech-driven team.

Java
Hadoop ecosystem (including MapReduce) - Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Kafka, Spark
XML
Strong Agile background - TDD, KANBAN
NoSQL - ideally Cassandra although all flavours will be considered (MongoDB, Voldemort, BigTable, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB)
