DESCRIPTION
Responsible for assisting and building QA strategies and frameworks for the QA CoE team including: assist in building a QA environment framework, review existing QA processes, support users through QA Tools, and assist in building QA Automation and Performance Frameworks. The incumbent needs to possess working knowledge of the comprehensive investment products/processes and the complexity of the technologies and processes to help build the QA strategies and frameworks.
Skills (Mandatory):
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- A university/college degree
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in Information Technology or Investment Business area with minimum of 4 year in a QA Testing area
- Experience working in a Centre of Excellence, and understanding the core concepts (preferably a QA CoE)
- Experience with building QA strategies, testing, processing and framework
- Experience with process improvements and building QA standards
- Expertise with test environment planning
- Ability to work independently in a fast changing environment. Results oriented, team player
- Good logical, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge in RDBMS
- Strong verbal and written communication/negotiation skills
- Demonstrated experience and passion in applying current testing methodologies
- Ability to create clear and concise testing documents
- Knowledge of industry standard SDLC and Testing Methodologies
Skills (Nice to have):
- Experience with QA automation
- Knowledge/experience writing strategies/frameworks using Visio and PowerPoint
- Knowledge/experience with HP ALM/QC and QTP/UFT is required
- Knowledge/experience in developing in SQL and MS Access an asset
- Knowledge/experience writing and reviewing programs (VB, PL/SQL, Transact SQL, C#) Knowledge of Financial Products (Stocks, Bonds, Private Investments, Derivatives) and process for managing the products an asset
- Knowledge/experience in working with and building applications in MS Excel (VBA, Excel functions, Using add-in) an asset
- Knowledge/experience in SOA testing an asset
- Knowledge/experience in using Industry leading Testing Tools and Suites, developing/executing scripts for test automation (VBScript, JavaScript, Languages/Scripts for testing tools,) an asset
- Knowledge of Financial Modeling an asset
- Strong interests and background in quantitative areas an asset
