QA Analyst - 6 months+ - Dublin City Centre
Responsibilities
The Quality Test Analyst (QA) is responsible to perform end-to-end Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities for the project
- To understand product requirements and develop test plan, test cases, execute tests and reporting of defects
- To create test cases and data (manual and automated)
- Execute test scripts and analyze and record results (manual and automated testing)
- Ensure that adequate test coverage is provided
- Identify defects/anomalies and investigate their cause. Document and track these defects.
- Assist fellow team members in resolving technical issues
- Contribute to improving the QA process and quality standards
- Recommend improvements or corrections to developers or system analysts
- To work with Developers, Product Owners, Product Analysts and other test team members for to complete testing tasks
- To ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release
- To provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements
- Determine testing tools and software that can be implemented to aid QA and maximize testing coverage
- Expected to undertake other duties
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have the following skills/characteristics:
- 3-5 years' experience of software quality assurance or software development
- Experienced in software testing & test automation
- Past experience with working on ETL and Data warehouse implementation projects
- Hands-on with XML & FLAT files
- Past experience with testing Web services and Linux Shell Scripts
- Ability to build medium to complex SQL queries to retrieve data from relational database (MySQL)
- Knowledge and experience in building test automation framework from scratch
- Experience with using HP Quicktest Professional & SoapUI Pro
- Experience of using Bugzilla, Redmine, Quality Center or JIRA for defect management
