Description

Are you an experienced Mixed Signal Designer with expertise in EMC? If yes, I have a perfect contract for you!

My global leading semiconductor client is currently looking for a Mixed Signal Designer with strong EMC knowledge to join them in the beautiful Netherlands on a long term contract basis.

Your Working-area:
In the automotive design department, products are developed “to connect the car”. Part of the portfolio consists of transceivers for physical layers like LIN-, CAN-, Flexray and Ethernet. These transceivers can also be part of System Basis Chips (SBC's), where several functions are integrated on one chip, offering our automotive customers complete system solutions.
Above-mentioned SBC’s contain a variety of mixed signal circuits, like multiple voltage regulators, SMPS, watchdog, power supply monitoring circuits, power management etc. These modules and products are developed in high voltage Bipolar/CMOS/DMOS -SOI processes and should meet very tough automotive requirements: very low-power design, EMC, and lifetime profiles at extreme temperatures.

Your Responsibilities:
. You are an experienced mixed signal designer, working in a cross-functional project team.
. You know how to find the right balance between time, cost and quality and ensure optimum reuse.
. EMC requirements for automotive products are increasingly difficult to meet. One of your main tasks is to help the team forward with your expertise knowledge on EMC. Predictability of EMC behaviour is key.
. You know how to model substrate coupling, capacitive and inductive coupling.
. You advise design teams on EMC robust biasing and supply architectures.
. You are able to identify EMC aggressors and victims, clearly explaining the interaction, and in case of violating requirements, propose solutions to overcome these violations. Again, emphasis on predictability, thus pre-silicon!

Your Profile:
• Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics engineering, experienced mixed signal design engineer, main-task: EMC design expert
• Knowledge of device physics (CMOS, Bipolar, BiCMOS, SOI,..)
• Creative, positive mind-set, constructively critical, motivate and lead team members
• Knowledge of automotive networks and corresponding SAE standards
• Knowledge of LAB automation, EMC measurement and qualification techniques
• Ability and willingness to coach junior designers, team player
