Description
I am currently hiring a Reference Data Business Analyst on behalf of a Tier 1 Banking organisation based in Brighton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business analysis functions, working with Divisions and Functions to:
- Capture current state BAU reference data fields, definitions and value set
- Model attributes, structure and interrelationships for reference data
- Document key systems, tools, interfaces that hold or use reference data and their associated architecture
- Work with Division/Function representatives to source the necessary data into the agreed environment
- Lead the Requirements gathering workshops with the major bank-wide programmes to capture the Enterprise reference Data requirements
- Assist the Lead Delivery manager with establishing the project and developing approach, methodologies and detailed plans as appropriate
- Participate in workshops to develop and define target state Reference Data Service sets of fields, attributes, definitions and ontology
- Facilitate the population of the Logical Data Model (LDM) and Business Glossary with Reference Data attributes definitions and models.
Key Requirements:
Previous Experience & Qualifications
- Strong business/system analysis experience
- Previous experience of Enterprise Reference Data for at least one of the key domains (Product, Customer, Worker, Organisation, Service)
- Experience in a Business/Technology change environment
- Good understanding of business analysis/system analysis/test/project management methodology and it's practical application, preferably supported by a formal qualification
- Experience in a financial services/banking environment (essential)
Technical Knowledge
- Reference Data domain knowledge of the following: Customer, Location, Organisation, Product or Worker
- Excellent MS Office skills, ability to use Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio and MS Project to a high standard
