Description
The Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) at Georgetown University is looking for a UX Designer to work on the user interface and animations for the next iteration of the MyDante platform. MyDante is an innovative platform for deep reading, which encourages readers to experience Dante's Divine Comedy as a personal as well as a social one. The application is already live and we have thousands of users! The updates will be made to the next iteration of the product which will launch on Feb 4, 2015.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute the updated look and feel of the UI for our second iteration
- Work closely with the rest of the team to organize, design and implement new features for the product
- Participate in daily stand ups, weekly meetings
Requirements
- 5 - 7 years of UI/UX experience for the web
- Experience creating animations for the web (Parallax, animations using After Effects, etc)
- Strong HTML, CSS and Javascript skills and a good understanding of its impact on the overall application
- Knowledge of working with frameworks (Django is preferred)
- Git
- Experience with responsive design
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
