SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, NETHERLANDS, CONTRACT
One of our prestigious clients is currently looking to add an experienced Software Developer with Knowledge of PERL and Shell Scripting on Linux to their office based in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
The Role
- Implemented data conversion tool, including connected ED header (data enrichment). All documented in an approved design document.
- Support handed over to Operations.
- All active subcons successfully connected to conversion environment.
- Transition runbook: how to migrate new subcons into new data conversion service.
- Updated track & trace tool - showing the data flow status of the updated process.
- Service design specification, including RACI.
- Data conversion tools - including file-handling.
- Collect and include data from external sources/systems.
- Enhance Track & Trace solution.
- Define and setup standard reporting.
Required skills & Experience

Developer/engineer with IT background (non Embedded)

Knowledge of PERL and Shell Scripting on Linux

Good understanding of large volume file based (ASCI, XML) data handling scripts

Understanding of database interactions/query language

Architectural skills: conceptual thinking

Pre: Basic knowledge of web developing to develop a search function to search for data files

Familiar with Prince2 and Agile/scrum

Structured way of working

Team player, good communication skills and able to work independently
