Description
Security Engineer is required by one of the largest banks in Switzerland. Our client is looking for an en experienced engineer who can support them across a number of strategic projects on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions in order to determine operational feasibility of security solutions
- Documenting and demonstrating security solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Prepares and installs security solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improves operations of security solutions by conducting systems analysis and recommends changes in policies and procedures.
- Supports the evaluation of different solutions and vendors; recommends purchases; testing and approving products.
Requirements
- Minimum five years experience in an IT role, with a strong focus on information security/data
- protection.
- Understands the cyber threat landscape that financial institutions currently face.
- Excellent knowledge of security tools (ie SIEM tools, Firewalls, Network monitoring and protection, Anti-Malware technologies).
- Experience of FireEye, Mandiant, Network Scanning, Hardoop or Splunk preferred
- Object Oriented Analysis, design and programming competence.
- Strong proficiency in Software Architecture.
- In depth understanding of design patterns, testing and code quality.
- Team player with excellent coordination and communication skills, and experience working
- within complex international organisations.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics or a technical field.
- Fluent in English.
