Global leading HFT firm (currently market leaders within the electronic trading space), requires an established Python Developer to join a team focussing on the development of a completely Greenfield Next Generation FX/Equities HFT/Algo Trading Platform.

Team Function and responsibilities:

Working as part of the FX/Equities Algorithmic Trading team develops a number of applications that provide market access, order management and automated trading within the FX/Equities and (hybrids) business

Requirements:

Business Knowledge:

Knowledge of FX or Equities Front Office business (Pricing, Trading, Risk management, hedging strategies, sales, model implementation, strategy development)

Technical Knowledge:

-Algo Developer experience in high volume, multi-threaded low latency business critical applications.

-Excellent technical experience with a proven track record of design, development and delivery.

-Enterprise Architecture skills.

-Familiarity with the latest innovations in hardware and software.

Additional Useful Skills:

- Strong OO Python development skills

- Knowledge of tick data solutions, like KDB.

- Knowledge of Sybase

- Financial Maths

Responsibilities:

Role specific responsibilities:

-Working as a Senior Python Developer to develop, evolve and support high-volume, low latency business-critical Python trading systems.

-The role involves working directly with the Algorithmic Trading team (HFT) to ultimately converge on a GBM side algorithmic trading solution.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This role is ideal for an established Python Developer who wishes to move towards the business side. The position entails a number of Quantitative responsibilities and provides an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians to transfer into the Quant field.

This is NOT a Quant Developer position but provides the possibility of a successful candidate proceeding into the quantitative sector.
