At Rate It Now we're building awesome new ways to make capturing customer feedback easier for retail businesses. As a back-end developer, you will be responsible for building from the ground-up a fast, secure, and scalable back-end and RESTful APIs in support of both consumer facing mobile applications and websites.We're presently leveraging the Microsoft stack of technologies on the back-end with ASP.NET, MS SQL Server hosted on Azure.
As a small new startup (< 10 employees), the opportunity exists here to come in and make your mark on the project and grow with us - you will have a large degree of creative freedom and will play a defining role in major architectural decisions from design through to implementation and deployment. We don't score 12 on the Joel Test right now, but we want to, and we want to find someone who will help us move in that direction.
This is a full-time remote position. Our preference is for a person based in Poland as several other core team members are based there, however it is not essential.
Skills & Requirements:
You must have a strong demonstrable experience with ASP.NET MVC & Web API, Entity Framework (ADO.NET), and MS SQL Server. Experience with cloud-based application architecture and development, especially Microsoft Azure is also essential.
Good English and communication skills are essential and ideally you've got some prior experience working remotely.
The ability to write clean, organized code is a must.
