Description
I currently have a contract opportunity with a top banking group for a Deployment and Environment Support Consultant.The role of deployment and environment support consult will see you join a team that are currently responsible for the installation and upgrade of 3rd party package software, mainly focusing on large regulatory driven IT programmes within the bank. You will work closely with project mangers and operations teams to plan environment build outs and undertake software installations.
Key Requirements:
- Solid understanding of IT Systems development and deployment
- Working knowledge of distributed or server based system environment
- AIX, Linux, DataStage
- SQL
- Experience of working with and installing 3rd party packages
- Financial services experience would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite.
The role may require some flexibility of working hours and location to support multiple regions and time zones (role will predominantly be based in Sheffield).
This role is an initial 6 month contract paying up to £215 per day.
