Description
We are currently seeking a Software Configuration Manager for a long term contract opportunity in Cumming, GA. The Software Configuration Manager will work as part of a talented small team that excels at getting high quality software into the hands of users early and quickly adjusting to user feedback. The primary responsibilities will be to provide effective source code management, build automation, and application deployment.
The Software Configuration Manager should have four years of overall development experience with at least two years of configuration management experience responsible for multiple desktop and web based applications in a MS Windows environment.
Required Skills Include
- Source code management including branching, merging, and sandboxing preferably in TFS with SVN experience as a nice to have
- Build automation for multiple products sharing a common code base using tools such as MSBuild, TFS, and CruiseControl
- Creation of install scripts for desktop applications, web sites, and web services using tools such as Advanced Installer or InstallShield
- Understanding of software development processes in an agile environment
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills Include
- .NET development experience
- Light server management experience such as managing email accounts, virtual directories, ftp services, resolving Firewall and connectivity issues
- Database management experience including creation of scripts to update database schemas
