Job responsibilities:
The network Engineer for the clients Classifieds Group is co-responsible with the rest of the network team for keeping the core network and the platforms connected and stable. The network engineer will work closely with the Site Operations team to ensure the stability and improvements on the several network environments of adjacencies that fall under the clients Classifieds Group umbrella.
Tasks are, (and are not limited to):
- Execution of tickets with network requests from several teams
- Can independently execute larger projects
- Participate in oncall schedule for 3rd level support
Job requirements:
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of (network) operating systems, network equipment and networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
- Knows how to work with both Cisco & Juniper
- Needs knowledge of loadbalancer techniques and equipment (preferably Citrix Netscaler)
- Ability to program scripts and batch files to automate repetitive network tasks
Qualifications:
- Computer Science or Computer Software Engineering degree or equivalent technical training.
- Training and certification on network equipment and protocols - Checkpoint and/or Cisco required.
- Minium of 5 years experience in networking
- CCNP/JNCIP or other general network related certification is a plus
