My client is a semi state body - based in Longford and seeking 3 onsite Network Engineer resources to come on board in November 2014 for a 2 year fixed term contract.
The onsite engineering area is responsible for the support of all hardware/software problems which cannot be either resolved or sufficiently diagnosed via the telephone. A key attribute required for working within this area is an excellent understanding and working knowledge of all types of PC hardware, software, printers and peripherals.
In addition, very strong knowledge of structured cabling systems including telephony cabling is required
General Role
* Install PC's, Servers and phones
* Repair/Replace PC's, Servers and phones
* Resolve networking and connectivity issues
* Basic programming of Ericsson and Cisco phone systems
Detailed knowledge of:
* PC/Notebook Hardware/Smart Devices
* Server Hardware
* Windows O/S from Win7 onwards
* Cabling types CAT5, CAT6, fibre optic, analogue telephone cables, USB, Firewire
* Cisco Clean Access
* Cisco Routers and Switches
* WAN and LAN Infrastructure
* IP Networks
* PABX's
Successful candidates will have 3+ years' experience working in Network Engineer role - servicing multiple sites. In addition, they will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for technology.
