For one of our Telecom Clients are we looking for Project Planners to work in Oslo, Norway.
Job Description
Be part of the Project Management Team to support the program planning and scheduling activities of the nationwide rollout of the Norwegian network. This position would suit an experienced Project Planner with experience in planning large network build projects or large scale infrastructure roll-out programs with a strong focus on highly professional project planning.
The role will require very good knowledge of project planning principles.
In the position the project planners job is:
Develop and maintain an integrated WBS, building on individual plans from Project Managers; handling of changes to the project plan, progress tracking and reporting, milestone analysis and critical path analysis.
The individual must be knowledgeable to question the information obtained from Project Managers and others and suggest alternatives.
Prime Responsibilities
- Support the work stream project managers to create detailed internal plans & schedules according to the planning and scheduling standards.
- Build and maintain the integrated Project Plan based on individual plans from Project Managers
- Co-ordinate plans and help to identify and maintain work stream interdependencies.
- Ensure that the various schedules are regularly maintained with current progress and logic.
- To assist the Project Managers with their check and balance of planning and progress.
- Provide progress reports.
- Perform variance analysis
- Establish and provide metrics measurements
- Report and schedule risks/opportunities and suggest mitigation plans.
Key attributes
- Significant Project Planning experience, Project Management experience is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of MS Project is essential.
- Flexible and be able to work on your own initiative and be self motivating.
- Be able to question and monitor internal work stream processes and progress.
- Fluent English speaking and in writing. A Scandinavian language is an advantage but not essential.
- A good knowledge of Network Integration processes within telecoms or similar process orientated projects, ie Oil and Gas, Engineering, Petro-chemical, Construction, Military etc
- PM certification (PMI or Prince 2) is an advantage
Candidate must meet security clearance requirements
