Description
Project Leader for definition, realization and implementation of software changes
Assignment description
Our client is replacing its current (own build) System to better support and improve the manufacturing processes. It encompasses a very broad domain, since it contains the processes and tooling of production order workpreparation & execution, (re)scheduling of production order steps, progress monitoring & control of WIP and operational reporting.
For the replacement of the current systems in the five factories, a large multi-year program is running
The foundation has recently been implemented in the largest and first of five factories. Though the foundation will be general for all factories, each factory can have change requests on the new system. These requests might be specific for one factory and not affect the other factories or it might be requests that can also be beneficial or even undesired to other factories.
Because of the global nature of the system and strive to have standardization across all factories, a good governance and decision model is required for these change requests. Our client is looking for a project leader that manages the realization (from requirements to implementation) of these change requests using the worldwide governance and decision model.
Position in the program
The Project Leader (PL) reports to the Program Manager. The implementation of change requests runs in parallel with the roll-outs in the different factories, each having separate PL's. Because of this it's crucial that the PL has close alignment and contact with factory roll-out PL's
Within the program the PL is responsible for all IT related developments and alignment, but also for the requirements gathering, creation of functional designs, possible training, communication and transfer to support departments. So operating for and in IT ánd the Factories.
Educational/Experience Level
The PL has a proven track record in the role of Implementation Manager/Project Manager/Project Leader in large implementation projects, in a (preferably technical) manufacturing environment, and has a HBO/WO education level.
Experience:

- Has experience in working on change software projects (SAP ME, JAVA or SAP BO)
- Has experience in defining and gathering of requirements, functional design and setting-up test plans/strategies
- Has experience in IT system implementation and roll-out
Personal Skills
Able to convince, inspire and motivate people and cooperate with people on the floor up to and including higher management; good knowledge of both Dutch and English language; strong communication skills and drive to help realizing the project's business goals, whatever it takes.
