My client is a leading public services company within Switzerland, with this particular role being positioned within Bern.
The ideal candidates will be fluent in English and then either German or French, however some exceptions can be made for very strong candidates.
I am looking for a Linux System Administrator who has a very strong background in RedHat (RHEL)
The responsibilities and skill sets for this role are as follow:
- Assistance in the operation of standard RedHat Servers (both physical and virtual)
- Activities within the framework of system changes
- Daily Business tasks in Incident and Problem Management
- SAN/Storage migration ( migration VPLEX Scout WS5)
- Operational Support/VPLEX Scout WS5 migration
- Support the operation of standard RedHat Servers (both physical and virtualized instances)
- Coordination for replacement and exchange of Server Components
- SAN/Storage migration (migration VPLEX Scout WS5)
Project-related skills
-Very strong background working with Redhat Server (RHEL 4, 5, 6)
-Experience in dealing with both physical and virtualized RedHat instances (VMWare)
-Experience in dealing SAN/Storage Drives & Redhat Servers (build and deploy, migration, management)
Nice to have additional skills:
-Familiarity with Xen virtualization
-Familiarity with P2V and V2V migrations
