Description
Mechanical Design Engineer required to provide a holistic approach to mechanical engineering, taking into account factors such as safety, cost and ease of manufacture.
Typical activities will include:
Produce mechanical design solutions including concepts, packaging and platform installation design.
Ensure the mechanical installation design solutions fulfil the requirements.
Integrity of the mechanical design solution, including safety.
Supporting the mechanical design process during the project life cycle.
Preparation of material for internal and external design reviews.
Effectively communicate design options & constraints to the Lead Engineer.
The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Degree or HND in mechanical engineering or mechanical design.
Proficient user of Pro Engineer Wildfire.
Proficient user of Windchill PDMLink.
Design and development of mechanical components and systems.
Produce detail design drawings.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
