Description
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to work within IC Development. You will be responsible for setting up and managing large & high profile complex (IC) development projects, whilst having strong customer commitment.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for timing, quality, deliverables and budget
- From study/idea to completion (released for mass production), you will manage a multi-disciplinary team of 10 - 30 FTE, consisting of (IC) design, package development, test & product engineering, product marketing, architects and application engineers.
- Managing and communicating with stakeholders and internal partners (marketing, management, design houses, project members from other departments) is part of the responsibility.
- Reporting to the Program manager, part of a project office and strong link with R&D managers
- You will work in the R&D organisation, reporting to the program manager.
- The products are complex mixed signal IC's.
- You will work in close cooperation with the test, product and quality department (part of your team) to ensure that products can be mass-produced
- Marketing/application engineering (interface with the customer) are also part of your team
Required experience:
- You will have a masters degree in Electronic Engineering in the semiconductor domain, or an equivalent degree. Additionally you will be able to demonstrate proficiency in electrical engineering on the basis of years of experience, with a proven record of stepping in and fast development in new areas. You will be eager to learn, develop, adopt and implement new methods
- You will have at least 3 year experience in managing complex technical projects, with leadership to technical experts and adequate people management skills. PMI certification preferred
- Knowledge of change management principles and processes
- Basic knowledge of all areas of IC development: IC design, industrial (production) test, product quality, validation and product application.
- Directing and motivating project members and coaching skills required.
- Skills in negotiations, influencing and dealing with conflicting interests.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience, experience with multi-disciplinary/multi-site preferred.
- Three or more years of work experience as a project manager in large (>10 FTE) project life cycles from study to final delivery.
- You will have good communication skills and experience in presenting yourself and your (technical) work, both orally and in writing.
- You will have excellent command of the English language.
