Alarm Correlation Expert
Main Responsibilities
- Work with Internal Customers to meet their requirements, make recommendations for solutions, help project integration, and pioneer about new technologies, play a supportive role to add value
- Optimize and reduce alarm numbers helping by alarm correlations and fitering
- Define relations between alarms and performance indicators
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to drive architecture design and reviews on business projects from operational view
- Help Level 1 operations on benchmark to indentify bottlenecks, and provide guidance to design an efficient operation model
- Telecom and/or IT Industry experience
- Good experience about IT and NW alarm handling
- Has multivendor and technologies experience
- Good understanding of ITIL/ETOM processes
- Experience about other operators' alarm correlation mechanisms and models
- Manage and run the interactions with business teams
- Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Cross domain experience (CN, RAN, Transport and IT)
- Knowledge about alarm behaviour, alarm life and it's affect to others.
- Able to define high level correlations between multivendor's equipment and domains (especially in Core Network, Radio Access Network, Transport Network and IT domains)
- Able to define low level correlations between multivendor's equipment and domains (especially in Core Network, Radio Access Network, Transport Network and IT domains)
- Able to define and to make intelligent filteration
- Able to define alarm generalization
- Able to define event correlation rules
- Able to define event correlation policies
- Able to make probable cause analysis
- Able to define event correlation rules
- Able to interpret of network events
- Able to define correlation hierarchy,
- Able to define corrective action planning (auto rule design)
- Able to make trend analysis,
- Able to design compression rules
- Able to design supression rules
- Able to know fault isolation scenarios
- Able to prepare in domain, out domain, interdomain correlations
- Able to create network element class hierarchy maps,
- Able to define corealtions between performance indicators and alarms
- Team Player, also ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Open to continious improvement of technical skills, and eager to share knowledge
- Have responsibility to follow the solution steps in an End to End way
