Description
Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical company based in Basel. In order to reinforce their team, Swisslinx is seeking a committed, highly motivated IT Network Engineer/Coordinator.
In this role, you would be coordinating, installing, and maintaining datacenter, server and network infrastructure. You would also be troubleshooting, advising, instructing and supporting users in the event of problems.
Your key responsibilities would be the following:
- Implementation and co-ordination of hardware, network components and communications installations within a datacentre
- Coordinating the activities of suppliers, consultants and support staff
- Managing small network/datacenter projects
- Creating network architectures and concepts
- Planning and installation of networks (equipment and components)
- Documentation of datacenter inventories
- Identifying and solving hardware and software errors and faults in the network
In order to be considered for this position, we are looking for candidates with the following profile:
- Degree in IT Technologies or equivalent work experience with 5+ year of experience in computer operations
- Very good understanding of datacenter technologies as well as network LAN infrastructure
- Experience with Cisco
- Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work
- Fluent English and German
