IMMEDIATE HIRE for a Desktop Support Technician III!

This is a 3 - 6 month contract to hire position located in North Dallas, TX. The individual will provide backup coverage for Desktop Support Technician II functions as well as provide after hours and on-call support as required.

The qualified individual will provide remote and on location technical support assistance to end users. This position requires a high level of aptitude of working with all levels of the organization, including its Board of Directors. They must possess an in-depth knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting, have strong decision-making skills and be able to prioritize tasks in a busy environment. They will take ownership of issues escalated by the other Help Desk and Desktop Support team members.

DUTIES
Responsible for reporting suspected information security incidents to Tech Support
Analyzes technical challenges and develops potential resolutions while incorporating the end user's point of view
Project Management including leading project initiatives and implementing project plans
Endpoint patch management including developing, deploying and troubleshooting patches for all laptops and desktops
Top-tier desktop support and problem resolution with final level of escalation for desktop issues
Install, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware, software and peripherals
Email configuration and troubleshooting
Troubleshoots basic network and VPN connectivity issues
Provides mobile device support (phones, tablets)
Maintains a working relationship with vendors to ensure smooth problem resolution
Enters, classifies, prioritizes, monitors, resolves, escalates and closes incidents using the ChangeGear help desk ticketing system
Works with advanced level support staff as needed for problem identification and resolution
Produces and maintains quality technical documentation and reports
Remains abreast of changes in system software and hardware requirements

REQUIRED
5+ years experience with Windows XP, Windows 7 and Microsoft Office in a customer-focused Desktop Support role
2+ years experience of project management within an IT/IS environment
2+ years experience with enterprise imaging and deployment software
2+ years experience with TCP/IP connectivity troubleshooting
1+ year of experience with endpoint patch management and deployment
Team-oriented performer, focused on the tasks and goals of the organization
Motivated self-starter with attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in person, over the phone and via email

EDUCATION
Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D. with a 2 or 4 year degree desired.
