Warehouse Manager (Amsterdam)

The Role

We require a highly motivated self-starter to manage the operation of a warehouse facility set-up for the purpose of receiving decommissioned telecommunication hardware, inventorying individual parts and ensuring they are redeployed/recycled/remarketed with maximum accuracy and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure shipments of decommissioned parts:
    • are received in an accurate and timely fashion
    • have been accurately identified with the right part and serial number
    • are packaged appropriately and labelled accurately
    • are accurately recorded in the inventory management system
  • Manage the accurate redeployment of parts
  • Manage the accurate recycling/remarketing of parts
  • Manage the inventory parts which cannot or have been incorrectly identified
  • Manage the inventory management system and ensure integrity and accuracy of data recorded
  • Manage the physical inventory and ensure integrity of the parts stored
  • Control physical and system inventory to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved
  • Manage the organisation of the warehouse space ensuring it is utilised with optimum efficiency and kept tidy and orderly
  • Manage the shipment of packaging materials for decommissioning projects
  • Manage the packaging inventory
    • ensure regular and accurate stock counts
    • monitoring inventory and reordering stock in a timely fashion
    • forecasting
  • Manage the assembly, completion and redeployment of any parts to be retrofitted and/or refurbished
  • Ensure warehouse processes are kept in line with overall company Decom Team strategy
  • Attend all team meetings and report weekly on warehouse activity (including any performance metrics reports)
  • To manage the Material Handler and/or any other resources provided to support the warehouse function
  • To manage the relationship with Aramex to ensure an optimum service is being provided
  • Mange all aspects of health and safety in warehouse including safe handling of ESD components
  • Other duties as assigned. Management reserves the right to add or delete duties as deemed appropriate.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Warehouse management including experience of warehouse organisation and inventory control
  • Experience of inventory control and management systems (Highjump a bonus)
  • Working without direct supervision
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, volatile environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong relationship management skills within the organisation

Other

  • Valid driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage required.
  • Ability to travel to abroad, offsite meetings, company related functions, etc. with short notice.
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent personal organisation and business administration skills

Skills

  • Experience of handling and resolving customer queries
  • Experience of electronics/telecommunication hardware
  • Computer literate, intermediate level Word/Excel/Mail (Google docs a bonus)
  • Management of staff

Knowledge/Experience

  • Forklift Operator, Certification Preferred ??
