Description
Duties:- The main responsibility of the position is to ensure orderly and effective business flow, achieved by: creating and maintaining an orderly filing system, Analytical skills, maintaining department schedules, coordinating meetings and assignments with other departments, following up on the status of project deliverables to/from various internal departments, Coordinating/communicating, as directed, and other administrative duties as assigned by the division supervisor. Working with Examiners to ensure follow through on pended claims
- Checking the eligibility of members of services in order to sort claims by product
- Keying claims for all lines of business, including complex claims
- Scanning and sorting in outlook
- Preparing reports and ensuring that reports are accurate and generated within specified timeframes.
- Generate digital images, labeling them and printing them out to be sorted in order to create forwarding letters.
- Filing and calendaring meetings
- compiling information and data for management reports,
- scheduling and organizing committee meetings,
- preparing meeting materials,
- analysing and organizing data for product line studies and budgets,
- preparing mass mailings (Word mail-merge),
- Drafting correspondence, reports (Word, Excel) and presentations (PowerPoint), Managing and tracking Department assignments and deadlines.
Required:
- Ability to use various programs including: Office Ally, IMS, MHC and Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
- Ability to maintain productivity despite repetitive continuous processes
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Required:
- High school graduate.
- Some College
- Undergraduate degree coursework or claims examiner training
- Project management experience
- Office management experience
- Required: 1 year history of accurate, high-volume claims data entry or claims processing
- Preferred: Managed care or Medi-Cal claims experience
