Description

In coming years, it is necessary to renew large parts of the railway signalling systems in Norway, so we'll be facing with many exciting challenges with the optimization of existing facilities and installing new systems. Rail is now working on plans to introduce the new European signalling standard system - ERTMS. You will be part of the organization that will manage and direct the engineering efforts towards implementation of this new system of standards.

ERTMS is composed of the ETCS (European Train Control System), which is the control-command system, combined with GSM-R, the radio system for voice and data communication.

The ERTMS standard allows train operators to install "trainborne" ETCS equipment in their fleets and infrastructure managers to install "trackisde" ETCS equipment on railway lines.

We are looking for experienced ERTMS Trackside Signaling Systems Specialist that would be engaged in a large implementation project of the ERTMS on the Norwegian railway network.

Main task and responsibilities:

  • Functional validation of the trackside part of an ERTMS/ETCS compliant system
  • Installation, integration and commissioning of ETCS equipment on railway lines and corridors according to contracted schedule
  • Adaptation of the existing interfaces
  • Carry out interoperability tests to guarantee short lead times, easy installation and commissioning

Skills and requirements:

  • Several years of experience in ERTMS Trackside Signaling Systems
  • Expert knowledge of the European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS)
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written

If you think you are the ideal candidate for us, please send us your CV in English with references.
