POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW
Two postdoctoral fellow positions are available in Dr. Biao Wang's lab at the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) at the University of California, San Francisco. The Wang lab takes an integrative approach by utilizing Drosophila and rodent models to study molecular mechanisms underlying energy homeostasis. The postdoc will independently conduct experiments to determine regulatory roles of Salt-inducible kinases and their relevant substrates in insulin-sensitive tissues including but not limited to liver, adipose and muscle. The postdoc should be familiar with various molecular and cellular techniques, and in vivo animal studies. Additional knowledge in Drosophila genetics will be a plus.
