Description
SkyVerge is looking for part-time Rails contractors with at least 10 available hours per week to join our team. You’ll be responsible for contributing to projects that already power thousands of online stores (and growing), helping to build new products, and making sure that the ones we already offer stay golden.Ideally, we’d like to find some great developers to work with on an on-going basis. The possibility of this evolving into a larger time commitment per week or a full-time position as we grow is up to you if you’re looking for it – we have no shortage of work that needs to be done!

Do You Fit?
Experience building Rails apps is required for this position – we’d love to see samples of apps you’ve built start-to-finish. We’ll provide sample code and our framework, and we need developers that can understand our standards and hit the ground running.
If you’re our ideal team member, you take pride in committing clean Ruby code to GitHub. You love writing code that’s clear, readable, and standards-compliant. More importantly, you appreciate how beautiful a solution is when any customer can use it. You’re a self-starter that’s excited about building and maintaining cool apps, dependable, and easy to work with.

Other Position and Benefit Details
This is a part-time position with flexible hours (at least 10 per week) – we know your work will speak for itself with commits, issues closed, and wiki edits. The position could evolve into a full-time, salaried position as we grow. Following an interview, we’ll ask for a quick sample project for which you’ll be paid before we commit to working together regularly.
We offer performance-based incentives in addition to hourly rate for meeting our quality standards or for beating deadlines. We like working with people who take pride in their work and we love to applaud a job well done.
If it sounds like we’re a good fit for one another, we can’t wait to hear from you! We need a resume, link to your GitHub profile, code samples – apps you’ve built already or open source contributions make the best samples.
