Web Front End Hacker
Shoto is hiring a highly motivated web front end hacker who can join our team in reimagining the way we share memories with the people we love most.
We’re a fully funded startup working in the heart of San Francisco on the problem of disorganized and unshared photos. Our team is comprised of enthusiastic creators, builders, and storytellers who believe that the best solution is one driven by a fun and enjoyable user experience.
Shoto is growing fast, and we need someone who understands the impact of their code. We will be launching new web products that we need someone to work with us to build and optimize. We need an individual who relates to the pain that we are solving to be able to think through the existing solutions in the market and innovate on the user experience with our unique technology.
Requirements
We need someone who has a genuine interest in the latest technological developments in the industry, including HTML5, CSS3, and mobile web application development, as well as:
- A portfolio demonstrating clean and compliant code
- Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, user interfaces, Web standards and usability
- You turn out exceptional work in weeks, not months, and are able to jump in on a project at any point in its life cycle
- You thrive within a data-driven design culture and can quickly react to changes and new feature requirements driven by our user analytics
- Mastery of code editing software
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and other scripting languages
- Proficiency in at least one front-end framework (Backbone, Knockout, Ember.js)
- Team player with a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
Our team works in pure lean methodologies (agile for the dated amongst us) and we need individual thinkers who can take an idea and then just get stuff done.
What you’ll be doing
- Building Shoto’s new website
- Creating up-to-date marketing content
- Working closely with the CEO to build out Shoto web app and experience
