Location:
Gaddesden Place, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, UK. Or the MAGIX offices in Berlin or Dresden. Or remote working from anywhere.

Xara are looking for some talented and experienced Javascript programmers to join the team.

We're starting a new product team to develop some leading edge web-based products.

We're a small company with small company values (but we've been around for 30 years).

Requirements:

Candidates must possess the following attributes:

An IT or Science Degree, or equivalent.

4+ years of Javascript, although we'll consider talented individuals with less.

Experience developing single-page applications.

Extensive CSS and HTML5 experience.

Intimate knowledge of the latest browser landscape, and the foibles of them all.

A desire to work on world-leading web software products.

Have a positive attitude to work, with the ability to learn quickly.

Good trouble-shooting skills with the perseverance to solve problems.

Take pride in the quality of their work with good attention to detail.

Able to work productively, both autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.

A willingness to be flexible and to take on a variety of different tasks in a small company environment.

Desirable:

Knowledge of other web related technologies (Node.js, PHP, Perl, etc.).

Developing apps or single-page applications for the latest mobile devices.

Graphics application development experience.

Experience of vector graphics applications.

Knowledge of graphical formats (PDF, SVG, etc.).

Knowledge of Xara's products or of similar products.
