Description

Functional Test Analyst working with a Telecommunications Company for an initial contract till 01/10, this will be paying up to £420 per day (inside IR35). The client offers Hybrid Working, 2-3 days per week at Newcastle office.

For this role candidates will need to be SC Cleared or eligible for Clearance.

Job Summary

The role holder will conduct end to end test activities on medium to high complexity projects and undertake first level diagnostics, using various test tools and test techniques based on their knowledge, experience, and training. The core documents the holder will write will be the test plans and test scripts and will run the test scripts to time cost and quality to ensure the integrity of the solutions we provide.

Main Responsibilities

  • Accountable for own work and able to lead small to medium test projects with minimal support.
  • Create quality testing documentation (plans, reports and scripts), in line with the test strategy.
  • Develop plans to define the depth of testing required, data sources and key deliverables.
  • Identify and analyse defects or issues to understand impacts, reporting on and discussing findings to enable mitigation or resolution.
  • Apply best practice ISTQB techniques, using expertise to tailor the test approach depending on the needs of the project.
  • Manage multiple deliveries simultaneously, whilst ensuring the integrity of the test and Validation role is maintained.
  • Report and communicate progress internally and may require some engagement with the customer.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Able to drive improvements to the Test and Validation process and be responsible for maintaining the continual improvement ethos.
  • Able to quality assurance and static test inputs. Comfortable owning and leading on management of technical stakeholders to drive for quality in test inputs.
  • Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Functional and Non-Functional testing of contact centre solutions.
  • Significant experience of working in a testing environment using the ITIL framework
  • Significant exposure to and experience of functional and non-functional testing of contact centre solutions
  • Significant experience of leading testing projects and comfortable as the sole tester on a project.
  • C#/API coding experience - PREFERRED

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Test and Validation processes and procedures (ISTQB qualified or will attain within 12 months)
  • Thorough understanding on ITIL framework (qualified or will attain ITIL4 Foundation within 12 months)
  • Already cleared to SC level or willing to undergo UK security clearance - SC level - must have been resident in the UK for 5 years.
