Job Description:
As an Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our clients receive best-in-class services and that our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. Your expertise in open-source technologies, infrastructure such as code, and automation will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design infrastructure solutions that meet client requirements and industry best practices.
2. Open-Source Expertise: Demonstrate strong expertise in open-source technologies, including Linux, DNS BIND, and other relevant tools.
3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Infrastructure as Code principles to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure resources.
4. GitLab and Ansible: Create and maintain GitLab repositories and Ansible playbooks to automate infrastructure tasks and configurations.
5. Architectural Guidance: Provide architectural guidance and recommendations to clients and internal teams for infrastructure improvements.
6. Security: Ensure that infrastructure solutions are designed and implemented with a strong focus on security best practices.
7. Scalability: Design scalable infrastructure solutions to accommodate future growth and evolving client needs.
8. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and security, to ensure the successful delivery of services.
10. Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical leader, guiding teams in the implementation of infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect in a managed services environment.
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration and open-source technologies.
- Experience with DNS BIND configuration and management.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Ansible.
- Solid understanding of GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
