We are seeking a skilled engineer to join a major financial client
Work style: Hybrid
Length: 6 months (possible extensions)
Skill set required:
Main Tasks
- Designing, deploying and configuring new monitoring and telemetry infrastructure sets using IaC
- Ansible
- Terraform
- Python coding for pipelines and integrations
- Supporting software (eg Docker, YAML) and tools
- On-boarding of network services into the telemetry solution
- Documentation
Essential experience
- Coding with Python
- Terraform and/or Ansible
- Unix/Linux
- Network services monitoring and event management
- SNMP monitoring tools
- Streaming Telemetry tools
- Topology mapping tools (NetBrain, HPNA etc.)
Desirable experience
- Prometheus/Grafana
- Data Dog
- Service Now
- Run Deck
- Big Panda
- CI/CD with GitLab
- Working in Agile teams using SCRUM and/or Kanban
- DevOps
- Network services (to include one or more of routing/switching, Firewalling, load-balancing, DNS, Proxy, time services)
- Kubernetes
- Confluence, Office 365 and Teams
