Job Description:

Reporting into one of the two Regional Finance Managers, the Entity Controllers are themselves responsible for managing the team's Financial Analysts. This involves providing regular counselling and feedback, but also effectively managing their workload on a day-to-day basis.
The primary responsibility of the team is to meet the external financial reporting obligations for a portfolio of statutory entities within EMEA. This generally involves the full preparation of annual statutory accounts, but also requires significant cooperation with external auditors and our internal tax department.
The second key responsibility is to review the aggregated regional results reported to the US, during the monthly book-close process. This requires an understanding of the underlying business to identify unexpected variances, clear written presentation skills to document results, and a proactive approach to resolve issues identified.
Additionally the team provides financial support as required throughout the business, whether it is routine briefing on financial performance of country Works Councils, or specific information required for grant claims.

Requirements on the candidate:

  • Qualified accountant, preferably ACA
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to forge good relationships and communicate effectively
  • Forward thinking and organised approach to project management
  • Tenacious attitude to task completion and process improvement
  • Overseas GAAP knowledge and foreign language skills are NOT pre-requisites
