The HRIS<\/strong> refers to a system<\/strong> used to collect, organize, and maintain important data<\/strong> on all employees of a business or organization. This data includes information regarding employment records, salary, time taken off, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An HRIS Analyst<\/strong> in turn is someone who maintains and updates the HRIS system<\/strong>. They perform an IT role in the HR department. In the role, they maintain the system, implementing and suggesting improvements and updates, ensuring data quality, and creating cohesive reports from the data in the HRIS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HRIS specialist<\/strong> is, therefore, the IT expert that is consulted for the system used in the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An HRIS analyst<\/strong> manages a range of daily responsibilities – differing based on their place of employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In general, however, they share a few core tasks such as maintaining and updating the Human Resources Information<\/strong> Systems<\/strong>. Analysts closely monitor the overall performance of HRIS systems<\/strong> and analyze how best to suggest improvements where needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to successfully do this, HRIS Analysts<\/strong> need to carefully outline the business objectives<\/strong> of the organization, including Finance, HR, etc. They then translate these objectives into clear technical requirements<\/strong> before managing software implementation projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the above, they also act as the main point of support for technical queries<\/strong> regarding the HRIS<\/strong>. They provide relevant production support, which includes researching and resolving problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
