Then everyone moves on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s economically smart.&nbsp;It\u2019s creatively rich.&nbsp;And\u2026 it\u2019s exactly how rail, engineering, and tech projects operate today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So why are companies still hesitant? <strong>\u201cThey don\u2019t know how it works, or they\u2019re scared to change\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Kaja, there are two primary reasons companies avoid freelancers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lack of understanding:<\/strong> \u201cMany companies simply don\u2019t know how freelancing works. They think contracts are complicated, or they assume it\u2019s risky.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fear of change<\/strong>: \u201cSome managers say: \u2018Why should we do this? That\u2019s perfect collaboration.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>And the worst-case scenario?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cFreelancers are hired full-time for a project but end up with no access, no tasks, no onboarding \u2014 which means they can\u2019t work and can\u2019t get paid. It\u2019s extremely frustrating.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a harsh truth many companies forget: <strong>Freelancers don\u2019t get paid for waiting.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re not ready, they bleed money: <strong>\u201cIt\u2019s not enough to sign a contract. You need to be ready for the freelancer to actually work.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where Expectations Fail: \u201cYou can\u2019t expect speed if you don\u2019t give access\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most common misalignments: Companies expect freelancers to deliver fast \u2014 but don\u2019t provide what\u2019s needed to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Clients sometimes say: \u2018Why isn\u2019t the work done yet?\u2019&nbsp;And the freelancer responds: \u2018Because I didn\u2019t get access to anything.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Another misalignment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cClients expect skills they never asked about. I tell them: bring an expert from your team into the interview and ask specific questions.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It sounds simple.&nbsp;But most teams skip these basics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Companies Must Change: \u201cYou\u2019re missing out on the best people.\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies that don\u2019t work with freelancers are missing out on amazing skills and expertise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These people have seen <strong>different projects, different approaches, different solutions<\/strong>.
