António Oliveira – Java Senior Developer

He comes from one of the oldest cities in Europe and is a completely and utterly dedicated freelancer. António Oliveira was born in Évora in Portugal which is an UNESCO World Heritage site and unlike his well-preserved birthplace there is nothing medieval about him. The Maximo Asset Management certified analyst, developer and programmer is proud to be part of this exciting and progressive time where anything is possible. Let´s change the world and hear what António Oliveira has to say…1) First off, can you tell us a bit about yourself?

My name is António Oliveira. I was born in Évora, Portugal in 1973 and currently work as a software developer for several different companies. I have been working as a freelancer for about 3 years now. 

2) If you would search for your profile on Google, which are the three keywords you would type in the search bar? 

Java, IBM Maximo, SQL 

3) What was your inspiration and when did you actually decide to become a freelancer? 

I like new challenges, thus I decided to work as a freelancer. I became my own boss and work now full time as a freelancer. 

4) What kind of services have your clients asked you to provide?

I work as a Software Developer in all kinds of companies (energy, metal industry, airports, …) 

5) Do you use other freelancers or companies to provide skills that you don’t possess?

At the moment, I only work alone. 

6) Now tell us, how do you find new clients that are interested in your services? 

The best way to find new clients is to use the quality of your service. I also get new contact requests from companies who heard about my good work from befriended freelancermap users. 

7) What about freelancermap.com? Can you tell us a little bit about your experience with our IT-network? 

Over the last decades, walls were broken down. Today, the world is connected and the market is unrestricted. Freelancermap gives you the opportunity to find a person who´s services you need for your company in any place of the world. 

8) How do you set yourself apart from your competitors? What makes you special?  

I can offer my clients very high quality standards concerning my work. And I always try to understand my client´s needs and problems and then work to give them a satisfying solution.
