1) First off, can you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Fábio Roberto Antunes and I live in São Paulo city in Brazil. Currently, I’m supporting an American Pharmaceutical company in the LATAM area. I have been working as a freelancer for as long as five years.
2) If you would search for your profile on Google, which are the three keywords you would type in the search bar?
I would type in SAP FICO, Tax and Localization
3) What was your inspiration and when did you actually decide to become a freelancer?
I started out freelancing occasionally from time to time when I was working as a contractor. One of my clients asked me if I would be interested in performing some activities remotely and this is when I started freelancing. Before that I was solely working as contractor.
4) What kind of services have your clients asked you to provide?
Most of the time, my clients ask me to provide Fiscal and Legal requirements, Roll-outs and Localization activities.
5) Do you use other freelancers or companies to provide skills that you don’t possess?
Yes I do use freelancers in my network to provide me skills that sometimes I don’t possess since this is very usual when working as a freelancer.
6) Now tell us, how do you find new clients that are interested in your services?
Well, I believe in ‘word of mouth’ so, I am always concerned to provide services with a high level of quality and commitment so the clients are satisfied with the results. Also I have my LinkedIn profile always up-to-date because it helps me a lot with getting in contact with new clients.
7) What about freelancermap.com? Can you tell us a little bit about your experience with our IT-network?
I have found freelancermap.com while surfing on LinkedIn. I was adding a member who sent me a link to subscribe and I did that. Now I expect to gain new contacts and maybe make good businesses.
8) How do you set yourself apart from your competitors? What makes you special?
What sets me apart from my competitors is my experience, the quality of my work and my high commitment to the clients.
9) What are the top three books, blogs or magazines you read to stay up to date in the IT-market?
SAP PRESS, Smart Computing, Inside Tech.
10) Freestyle! Is there anything you would like to tell our readers?
Well… I would like to share with the readers that the opportunities always exist; we only have to be prepared when they show up!
